Report on Substation Equipment Production at Energypac Engineering Ltd.
Khan, Md. Shamim
Electricity is considered obligatory all over place since invention. Modem life is
impossible without proper supply of electricity. Even, it is called the prime mover of a state.
Bangladesh is a developing country and it is facing power crisis. Only 4 8 % of the total
population has a kind of access to electricity. To ensure the electricity supply to all, the
government has taken various short term and long term project. Energypac Engineering one
of the best power engineering companies not only in Bangladesh but also in South-Asia is
contributing to the country by serving different products & related to
substation. Being a local company it also helps our country to save currency.
The report is about my industrial attachment at the factory of "''''''t'n.l1r\''ro Engineering
situated at Baruipara, Savar, Dhaka. factory is divided into different sections but all sections
work mutually. from the transformer core cutting, core making, coil winding, core coil
assembl ing, in process testing, and tanking, all the process related to transformer manufacturing
is done under the transformer section at the factory. The high lab is used for different
routine and type test of transformer. Both indoor and outdoor type current and potential
transformer is manufactured at the instrumental transformer section. Different switchgear
components L T switchgear, switchgear, panel, VCB, LBS, input & output control
panel are assembled at switchgear section of the factory. Different types of i solator and switches
are also manufactured at isolator and breaker section. fabrication section helps to
fabricate different parts of different products. Besides, the factory has its own paint and coating
section for liquid painting, powder coating, and nickel coating over different products. The
factory update CNC section and machine shops too. All these sections and facilities at the
factory of Energypac Engineering help Energypac to achieve their products a new standard.
M y industrial attachment at ' Energypac Engineering Ltd' was really a great opportunity for me
to compare my theoretical knowledge with practical experience. With the help of the honorable
officials and m y hard work I have successfully completed m y internship. I am really grateful to
almighty Allah.
This internship submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of B.Sc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering of East West University, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Design, Construction and Analysis of a Single Phase Inverter

Design, Construction and Analysis of a Single Phase Inverter
Khan, M. Saddam Hossain; Islam, Mashfique; Rahman, Md. Istianatur
A signal phase inverter is designed and constructed to provide regulated output voltage at 220v. The output power stage is designed in two methods first one is using four power transformer in H-bridge mode to the load through a transformer, and another one is two NMOS power transistors coupled to the load through a transformer. The output is a 50Hz square wave which is obtained by totem-pole driver operation of two transistors using 50 Hz complementary trigger pulse stream for first method. And for the second method 50Hz square wave is obtained using a single PNP transistor. The inverter is constructed and presented. The circuit is tested and it is found that the waveforms obtained at different stages of the circuit conform well to those obtained by computer simulation. The inverter circuit is found to be efficient for applications in appliances.

Rahman, Fahmida
It was a great opportunity to work under the largesttele communication company of B ang lade sh.
The main purpose of the program was to perceive there all life situation. The academic
knowledge is not well enough to complete with re al world. This internship prog ram was helpful
to face the re al working environment. Being the large stellular phone company in the country,
Grameenphone has to have a gigantic number
of employees and a huge number of employee s
and a huge number of customers as well
This internship report contains all the information about my work experience with
Grameenphone Ltd, which got its cellular license in Bangladesh at 28th November 1996 by the
Ministry of Posts and Tele communications, the company launched its service on the
Independence Day of Bangladeshat 26th march 1997. I n GP I have spent a good time in learning
and was rewarded for my be efforts, learnt to de al with different situations, had experience of
corporate working environment which affects an employee performance and attitude towards
work , had good time in learning and performing. I would like to say that it will be one of my best
skills that would re main with me and help me in future which will offer many challenge s. I
would like to highlight this that my experience with Grameenphone Ltd. was very memory able
and full of learning' s where J found a lot of changes in my attitude, learning and be Havier . In
or der to achieve the major improvements BPR is seeking for, the change of structural
organizational variables, and other ways of managing and perfuming work is often considered
as being insufficient. For being able to reap the achievable benefits fully, the use of intonation
technology (IT) is conceived as a major contributing factor. While IT traditionally has been used
for supporting the existing business functions, i.e . it was use d for increasing organizational

Report on Polli Bidyut Samity-1
Hossain, Md. Khalid
Rural Electrification Board (REB) is the pioneer in providing electricity for thousands of villages
in Bangladesh. Palti Bidyut Samity's are the co-operative societies of REB which are actually
taking the responsibilities of distribution of power. There are total seventy Palli Bidyut Samity
under REB and Pall.i Bidyut Samity-l is one them. I have completed my internship in Palli
Bidyut Samity-1. I started my internship on 30th August, 2010 in Palli Bidyut Samity-l.The
duration of this internship was three months (two days a week). During my internship period I
visited all the departments of Palli Bidyut Samity-I, their distribution substation (Nobinogor,
Savar) and grid substation (Hamannogor, Savar). I also got the opportunity to visit two power
plants which generates electricity for PBS-I; these are, Summit Power Limited (Ashulia, Savar)
and United Power Generation and distribution Company Limited (EPZ, Savar).
