Abstract:
As a poet of nature Wordsworth stands supreme. He is a worshiper of nature. Nature has in his poems a separate or independent status. His poetic career covers a period of more than sixty years and so far as the bulk of his poetry is concerned, few poets can compare with him. Under the influence of nature, he experienced a mystic mood, a transcendental feeling. His conceived of nature as a living soul which entering into flower; stream or mounting gave them each a soul of their own. Between thigh spirit in nature and the mind of man there was a prearranged harmony, which enabled nature to communicate its own thoughts to man and man to reflect upon them until an absolute union between them was established. Most of his poems focus on the delights of the simple life, and rejects the distraction of the over intellectual.
