Lack of availability of parking facilities for the increasing number of vehicles used daily creates
chaos and results in impassable traffic jams. In contrast to the situation, often there are empty
parking spaces. But limited accesses to proper information on space availability, people are
forced to park vehicles on the roadside. This dreadful scenario can be made tolerable by simply
providing information to the vehicle users about the nearest available parking spots, so that, they
can board their vehicles in a place other than the busy road. In this project, we concentrate on
finding a way to reduce off-street parking effectively. This is done by developing a smart way to
find an available parking spot just by sensing the presence of a vehicle in an area. This project is
built on IoT based architecture using Arduino Mega device along with some sensors and motors.
The web application part is handled using PHP. |
