dc.description.abstract Photonic crystal fibers (PCF) are a new generation of optical fiber that guide light via a periodic air-silica. It has become a promising novel technology with several possible applications in wave guides, nonlinear optics, fiber lasers, sensory systems etc. Careful design of the photonic structure causes the fibers to behave in interesting new ways and one of main aims of this thesis is to analyze Dual-core PCF using Modal Analysis on COMSOL Multiphysics. Our main focus is to study the dynamic properties of Dual Core Photonic Crystal Fiber in a particular frequency domain. en_US
