dc.description.abstract The present study was designed to determine whether need motivation, locus of control and self efficacy influence the relationship between role stressors and job satisfaction relationship. The basic premise is that there will be significant differences in the nature and magnitude of the moderating effect of these variables across the career stages. Results of moderated multiple regression analysis on data gathered from the Indian Administrative Service(IAS), Tamil Nadu Cadre revealed that the nature and the magnitude of the moderating effect varied across early, mid and late career stages en_US
