Technology integrated teaching and learning has become very common now a day.
Still, in this modern life, there are many students who face difficulties continuing their higher
education due to several hindrances. This research attempts to find out these challenges for
which the students are facing trouble to continue their higher studies in Bangladeshi private
universities. In addition to that, this research also focuses on the practical implications of
blended learning in terms of putting online virtual classroom along with the traditional faceto-
face classroom instruction. To do so, the researcher has taken interviews of university teachers, university
students, different academic stakeholders such as: corporate organizations, mobile operators,
banks, NGOs, consultancy firms, and housekeepers. 10 private universities of Bangladesh
were selected randomly to collect teachers and students interview. The teachers who take
masters courses were selected for the interview and students were selected from those
teachers’ graduation classes. In total 10 teachers and 101 students were interviewed based on
interview questions. However, participants of the other organizations and housekeepers were
selected according to the convenience of the researcher. Three participants from each of the
organizations and three housekeepers were interviewed based on interview questions. These
collected data were analyzed based on two theories: socio-constructivism and dual code
theory, and one model: blended learning model. The analyzed data are tabulated and
explained in descriptive manner. The findings suggest that, though there is a need of online virtual class, participants
are not in favor to demolish the face-to-face instruction. Infact, they prioritize the face-to-face
instruction more over online virtual class. However, study shows that the implementation of
online virtual class would help learners to overcome the barriers in the way of the higher studies and decrease the number of drop outs from higher studies of Bangladesh. Not only the
learners, but the study also sheds the importance of blended learning over the organizations
where these students are working. It is evident that if the learners are given the relaxed
solution for their study then the organization where they are working gets benefited. Thus,
this study is important for the teachers, students, authorities and other stakeholders to evident
the practical implications of blended learning and to decide the further steps to implement it
in the private universities of Bangladesh.

English has always been a part of our education system from class 1-12 for its international
demand and recognition. Bangladeshi government has always been active to undertake
various ventures to improve the learners’ competence in English. But unfortunately, learners
cannot master the language in spite of having 12 years of practice. To some extent they only
develop reading and writing skills but never practice speaking and listening at the same time.
As a result we find the struggling students in higher education. There are several reasons
behind this failure. This research attempts to find out how students learn English in the
surrounding of classroom environment. On the other hand, it tries to find out teachers
awareness about classroom management which can provide students better learning
opportunity. In short, this research attempts to find out the role of classroom environment in
learning English at HSC level. It also tries to provide some solution for the problems found in
the class.

English spoken courses have been included, due to the current uprising demands, in the curricula of private universities in Bangladesh, regardless of any faculties. However, very few studies conducted on the classroom management of spoken English language courses, especially at the tertiary level.
Teaching and learning being interlinked to each other, classroom management, by drawing a congenial environment, plays a vital role to the purpose of both teaching and learning to its fruitful end. It is, therefore, essential to explore the managerial styles and strategies practiced in spoken classrooms. The study is anticipated to be helpful for teachers, researchers and course-designers altogether to make them realize the importance of classroom management at tertiary level as well as at other levels of education in Bangladesh.
During the course of the study, ten universities were visited. Data were collected through observation of twenty English language classes and interviews of ten English language teachers. Moreover, there were total of 218 students divided into 27 focus groups who were interviewed to collect the required data. In order to examine the data, two theories had been applied—one was about style and the other, was about strategy as mentioned in the section of theoretical framework. Upon analysis of the obtained data, the research findings indicate that authoritarian style and improper preventive strategies were being applied to handle the managerial matters of spoken courses that lead to an ineffective environment for learning speaking in English as a language skill. The investigation concluded with a couple of recommendations for new measures, which ideally will refresh the teaching of speaking skill in private universities with far more prominent extension and achievement.
