<title>Primary User Emulation Attack (PUEA) In Cognitive Radio Network (CRN)</title>
<link>http://dspace.ewubd.edu:8080/handle/123456789/1306</link>
<description>Primary User Emulation Attack (PUEA) In Cognitive Radio Network (CRN)
Rahman, Mohammad Hanif; Hossain, Md. Meraz
In Cognitive Radio Networks the primary goal of the secondary users is to detect the presence of primary user. Different types of detection techniques are prevalent like average energy detection of sample data, matched filter based energy detection and Bayesian approach of prior and posterior modeling of average signal. The situation becomes cumbersome in case of presence of malicious users especially primary user emulator. In this project work we deal with detection of primary user emulator attack (PUEA) based on threshold energy detection model where exponential path loss model is used in a small region, where both secondary user and PUEA are randomly distributed and Okumura-Hata model for long links of secondary user and primary user.
Finally we plot the lower bound of probability of PUEA against unoccupied distance of PUEA.

<title>Energy Detection in Cognitive Radio Network (CRN) under Rayleigh Nakagami-m Fading Channels</title>
<link>http://dspace.ewubd.edu:8080/handle/123456789/1305</link>
<description>Energy Detection in Cognitive Radio Network (CRN) under Rayleigh Nakagami-m Fading Channels
Akter, Shirin; Hossain, Mohammad
The performance of a Cognitive radio network depends on, how successfully the Secondary User (SU) can detect the present of Primary User (PU) and recognize the false alarm arises from interferences. In this research project, we determine the profile of probability of detection and probability of false alarm of a Secondary User under Rayleigh and Nakagami-m fading channels. Here, we use the combination of fading and Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) as the impairments of the signal. We detect both the above parameters analytically and verified by Monte Carlo Simulation. The analytical and simulation results are found very closed to each other.

<title>DWDM network design on BdREN Network System (Transmission network)</title>
<link>http://dspace.ewubd.edu:8080/handle/123456789/1301</link>
<description>DWDM network design on BdREN Network System (Transmission network)
Shamsuddin, A. N. M.; Hasan, Md. Mehedi
Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) is regarded as one of the newest transmission technology in optical fiber communication system. It gives us new era of communication. It is an emerging technology which will minimize the cost and afford of working. However, there are some challenges to design the DWDM system. DWDM techniques increase the current capacity up-to device total capacity. Though it is a new technology it already gives a big impression in the industry. In this design we are try to ensure an optimum network which has ensure security with maximum transmission. Anyone can design DWDM network on TDM transmission system. So it has vast application on transmission system.

<title>Research Project on Design Simulation and Performance analysis of Slotantenna</title>
<link>http://dspace.ewubd.edu:8080/handle/123456789/1300</link>
<description>Research Project on Design Simulation and Performance analysis of Slotantenna
Mohamed, Abdifatah Isak; Ishaq, Osman Mohamed
The necessity of wide-band wireless communications technology is increasing rapidly to support more users and provide information with higher data transmission rates.
The most suitable technology that gives high data rate could be Ultra-wide band (UWB) and among various types of antennas, slot antenna is considered for use in UWB applications because of its ease of analysis and fabrication, low cost, light Weight, easy to feed and their attractive radiation characteristics. Although slot antenna has numerous advantages, it has also some drawbacks such as limited bandwidth, and a potential decrease in radiation pattern. Different techniques for bandwidth enhancement of slot antenna are anticipated in this project. By keeping either of length or width, the percentage bandwidth varies. As the percentage Bandwidth increases, the slot width decreases. Similar analysis is also shown in figure 4.2, which indicates that small range of slot length (13cm to 14cm) the percentage Bandwidth is much higher. This result is compared to other research findings. This project shows bandwidth values up to 44% where as other research outcome is 50.2%. The antenna achieved good bandwidth with an overall dimension of 13cm to 14cm with frequency of 1GHz. HFSS Software is used for the simulation and design calculation of slot antenna.
