dc.description.abstract The aim of this research is to determine the legal rights of orphaned grandchildren and other inheritors of the predeceased. The goal of this research is to examine and analyze the legal provision. The discrepancy between Shariah law and statutory law is also addressed in this research. This thesis paper is based on content analysis and qualitative research with the goal of detecting the injustices created by the statutory provision to some heirs and establishing a new process that secures the right of orphaned grandchildren without breaching Islamic law or excluding other heirs. en_US
