dc.description.abstract Wrongful convictions are cases where individuals are found guilty and sentenced for crimes they did not commit. Wrongful incarceration happens when an accused person is detained in custody for an unreasonably long period of time without trial and then proven as not guilty after the trial. The aim of this research is to investigate the causes and legal consequences of such wrongful convictions and incarceration in Bangladesh. This will highlight the legal rights and remedies of the victims of wrongful convictions and incarceration under the laws in Bangladesh. It also assesses whether providing only compensation to individuals who have been wrongfully convicted and incarcerated in Bangladesh is sufficient. en_US
